Our Mission
Lifeboat is committed to creating a lovingly diverse culture of community through a consistent demonstration of compassion.
While not solely providing fresh and nutritious foods to our community and beyond, we offer a place where people from all walks of life can come together, talk with each other, and develop relationships. Lifeboat offers a culture of community to all that visit and we hope through the volunteers’ interaction with clients, and through interactions among those visiting Lifeboat, that our culture of community will continuously be strengthened.
Lifeboat has been operational since 2017 and since this time, we have been a consistent source of fresh food for the city of Boston and others that venture to the Fenway neighborhood. We are committed to continue to serve those experiencing food insecurity and aim to do so with integrity and compassion.
From the heart of Nansee, onE of our many committed volunteers…
This Lifeboat is small, but profoundly capable of big things. Lifeboat sees the need, not the cause. The essence of this Lifeboat is to care.
The purpose of this Lifeboat is to be compassionate, is to contribute in some way to making things better for all, giving all a chance of more life.
Every time I step in to Lifeboat, I set my heart on doing good to the best, regardless how big or how small it is.
At the end of the day, I go home filled with joy. I am proud to be part of this Lifeboat of Boston Temple.
